As losses pile up, Florida Panthers call top prospects for help – The Athletic

ST. PAUL, Minn. — It was a quick road trip, just two games against struggling teams, a good chance for the Florida Panthers to pick up some much-needed points.

Yeah, about that.

The Panthers flew back to South Florida late Thursday following an embarrassing 5-1 loss to the Wild after which coach Bob Boughner called out his team and suggested it might be time for at least one of the franchise’s talented youngsters to come up from the minors and try to help things out.

Since beating Boston 5-0 last Tuesday night, the Panthers have lost four straight and are just two points out of last place in the Eastern Conference.
