Vincent Trocheck could play for the Florida Panthers against the Toronto Maple Leafs at BB&T Center on Friday.
The forward will be a game-time decision, according to Florida coach Bob Boughner. Trocheck took line rushes with Jonathan Huberdeau and Nick Bjugstad during morning skate. It would be Trocheck’s first game since fracturing his right ankle against the Ottawa Senators on Nov. 19.
The Panthers are looking to end a seven-game losing streak (0-5-2), their longest since going nine in a row without a win (0-5-4) from Oct. 22-Nov. 10, 2013.
The Maple Leafs won 4-2 against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Thursday.
Players to watch
Maple Leafs forward Mitchell Marner has scored a goal in four consecutive games.
Panthers forward Mike Hoffman has seven goals in the past 12 games.
