Florida Panthers

Season preview: Meet the 2018-2019 Florida Panthers

Roberto Luongo: Was excellent last season when healthy, but his durability is in doubt.

James Reimer: Had worst stats since 2014-2015. Played career high 42 games.

Aaron Ekblad: The NHL’s first overall pick in 2014, he had career-best 16 goals last season.

Keith Yandle: A two-time All-Star, he leads NHL active players in consecutive games played.

Mike Matheson: He was second among Florida defensemen with 10 goals.

Mark Pysyk: He was fourth among team d-men in ice time, second in blocks and third in hits.

Alex Petrovic: His 142 hits led Panthers defensemen.

MacKenzie Weegar: He was second in hits among Panthers d-men.

Jacob MacDonald: May go to minors once Bogdan Kiselevich recovers from broken jaw.

Evgenii Dadoov: After five years away from the NHL, skilled Russian meshed with Barkov.

Aleksander Barkov: He was second in the NHL in average ice time for a forward.

Nick Bjugstad: He had a career-best 49 points this past season, including 19 goals.

Jonathan Huberdeau: He’s getting better every year — pencil him in on second line.

Vincent Trocheck: He led the Panthers with 31 goals last season and was a 2017 All-Star.

Mike Hoffman: Proven NHL scorer — 104 goals in four years — especially on the power play.

Denis Malgin: With 11 goals in 51 game, this smallish (5-9, 177) winger leads third line.

Frank Vatrano: Speedy and thick (5-9, 200), he has 20 goals in 108 NHL games.

Jared McCann: Former Canucks first-rounder is still only 22 and had 28 points last season.

Troy Brouwer: He won a Stanley Cup with Chicago in 2010; brings more grit than skill.

Max Mamin: Another skilled Russian, but he hasn’t had a breakthrough yet.

Derek MacKenzie: Vet gave up role as captain in favor of Barkov.

Colton Sceviour: Scrappy 29-year-old winger tied his career best with 11 goals last season.

Micheal Haley: Just eight goals in eight NHL seasons – he’s here for toughness.
